Arenas BETA patch

Hello,

Who will have access to the beta?
- Anyone with premium on Necro2 server. Regardless of country: PL/EN etc.
- you can have a couple of characters in the beta if you are playing on multiple servers.
- WARNING! The server will be in Polish ONLY.

How can I sign up?
The signups will start at the beginning of January and will last 7 days, after that the beta server will be closed and arenas will be enabled.

The signups might be reopened but that will be decided during the beta and you will be informed via forums and the game.

Here you will find everything you'll see in the arenas beta.

General changes:

1. Beast Lord - Beast's Hide Arcanum.
Will gain an additional effect: -2% chance of being hit with a critical strike for each level of the arcanum. Works from the start.

2. KotH will be rebalanced for Necro servers.

Arena 1 vs 1:

Ranking:
Each player will be placed in the arena ranking in the place reflecting his game ranking place and get 100 arena ranking points.

Scoring system:
Victory +3
Draw 0
Loss -3
Additional modifiers:
Loss when attacking -2
Loss when defending +2
Win / Loss +/- ½ the difference in ranking points; only if the winning player is lower in the ranking.

Example1:
Player A place 100 attacks Player B place 90

Player B wins and gains:
3 pts for winning
2 pts for successful defence
and 0 pts for ranking difference as the losing player is weaker.

Player A loses and gets:
-3 for losing
-2 for losing when attacking
0 for ranking difference as the winning player is higher.

Example2:
Player A place 100 attacks Player B place 90

Player A wins and gets:
3 pts for winning
0 pts for successful attack (it's easier to attack)
5 pts for ranking difference as (100-90)/2=10/2=5 (he wins against a player higher in the ranking)

Player B loses and gets:
-3 for losing
0 for losing in defence (defending is harder)
-5 pts for ranking difference as (100-90)/2=10/2=5 (he lost against a player lower in the ranking).

Choosing opponents:
Each player can attack a random opponent once a day and once a day be attacked.*
The system will choose at least 5 higher-ranked players as possible targets (if they can be attacked and if they haven't been attacked yet).

For each fight won in a row the pool of random player will be increased by 1 to the maximum of 10 players so if you win frequently you will advance faster.
If you lose the win streak will reset to 0 and the random players pool will reset to 5.

if there are no 5 players above you (for example you are in top1-5) the remaining opponents will be chosen from below you in the ranking so that the pool of possible targets is always at least 5.

Combat:
The combat is conducted in a way similar to ambushes.
Buildings work as normal.
The attacking player gets all the bonuses for attacking and the defending players gets all the bonuses for defending.

Rewards:
For each victory (in attack and in defence) you get 2 pieces of silver.
You get additional 2 pieces of silver for beating someone higher level than you.
You get additional 2x(act difference) pieces of silver for defeating a player in a higher act.

Pieces of silver can be exchanged for temporary bonuses.

Potential opponents overview:
After clicking the magnifying glass icon you can check (without sending spies) what gear your opponent will be fighting in.

Defence settings:
Each player will be able to define the equipment, arcana, evolutions etc. that his character will be using in defence in the arena.
If the equipment is not defined (no items set) the character will fight in the current gear (exactly as with ambushes).
You will be able to define a disposable item to be used in defence.

Rewards at the end of the season:
At the end of each season each player will get bonuses pieces of silver = (place at the end of the season - place at the beginning of the season) x2, maximum 2x character level.

Vacation/ban:
Banned players as well as players on vacation mode CAN be attacked on the arena. As arenas are meant to promote activeness and you only lose ranking points and resources we decided that making exceptions is not necessary.

*if all the possible opponents have already fought the system will choose a "Samaritan". The attacking player gets all the rewards/penalties if he wins/loses and the Samaritan doesn't get any rewards or penalties.

Arena 3 vs 3:

How it's going to look:
3 vs 3 arena will take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays, much like the current arenas.

Player ranking:
The base player ranking is made on the basis of the game ranking. Each time a team wins or loses points, each member of the team wins/loses that many points.
Teams per se are NOT ranked. Team points are the sum of the points of its members (you can change the members each arena).

Scoring system:
the same as 1 vs 1.

Signing up teams for the arena:
Teams sign up for the arena in a similar way as before (the leader signs up the team and player can apply).
Each clan can have any number of teams signed up.
It is possible to fight against members of the same clan.

Resolving 3 vs 3 arenas:
For every arena the system makes a player ranking based on total ranking points from all the teams.
Opponents are then chosen for each team starting from the team lowest in the ranking.
The rules of choosing opponents are the same as with 1 vs 1 areans.

Combat:
The combat is similar to sieges, but with 3 players on each side and WITH buildings effect.

Rewards:
For each victory (in attack and in defence) each player gets 10 pieces of silver.

Everything else is as with 1 vs 1 arenas if applicable (for example you can't see your opponents' gear as the combat is automatic).
